During late 2003 the parish churches of Barclay and Viewforth in central Edinburgh started discussions to form a parish grouping. The purpose of such a grouping amongst Church of Scotland congregations is to bring about a better working together of the congregations and to share and to better share resources. These discussions were successfully concluded in 2004 and approved by the Presbytery of Edinburgh.
